Wenzhou, September 21 (Xinhua) --2023 marks the 30th anniversary of Leqing City, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province's "county withdrawal and city establishment". Over the past 30 years, it has transformed from a small agricultural county to a strong industrial city, an economic city, and one of the top 100 counties and cities in China. Nowadays, this southeastern coastal city has a famous "golden business card" both at home and abroad - the "Capital of Chinese Electrical Appliances". Here, there are over 14000 electrical industry cluster enterprises, including 1195 enterprises above designated size, and the electrical industry has been approved as a national advanced manufacturing industry cluster.
On September 20th, the People's Government of Yueqing City held a press conference to announce that the city will host the 23rd China Electrical Culture Festival and Yandangshan Digital Economy Summit from November 7th to November 9th in the local area.
In recent years, Yueqing has focused on improving the entire intelligent electrical industry chain, continuously activating the innovation ecology of industrial clusters, consolidating the core advantages of the entire industry chain, and vigorously promoting the high-quality development of electrical industry clusters. According to data statistics, in 2022, the total industrial output value of the electrical industry in the city exceeded 150 billion yuan, and the total output value of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 1050.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.86%. Low voltage electrical products accounted for more than 65% of the national market share.
This event will fully showcase the achievements of Yueqing Electric's national advanced manufacturing cluster construction, promote the application of high-tech, vigorously promote trade negotiations, product procurement, and investment cooperation, deeply empower the digital transformation of the electrical industry cluster, and continuously promote the cultivation and construction of world-class advanced intelligent electrical industry clusters. Ye Xufeng, member of the Standing Committee of the Yueqing Municipal Party Committee and deputy mayor, said at the press conference that the event will also fully demonstrate the unique charm of Yueqing culture, vigorously promote the "Wenzhou Private Entrepreneur Festival" and the "Two Health" culture, and inspire private enterprises to be confident, self reliant, and develop and grow.
The reporter learned from the press conference that the 23rd China Electrical Culture Festival and Yandangshan Digital Economy Summit has set up a "1+1+3+X" series of activities, including an opening ceremony main forum, an international electrical products expo, three sub forums, and several special events.
During the International Electrical Products Expo, various activities such as leading enterprise ordering meetings (marketing conferences), new product launches, and strategic cooperation invitation and promotion meetings will be held, presenting distinctive highlights such as internationalization, diversification, technological advancement, and new themes.
The relevant person in charge of the Yueqing Municipal Bureau of Commerce introduced at the press conference that compared to previous expos, this expo has added overseas buyers, overseas Chinese, overseas business representative offices, and foreign government groups to attend the exhibition. In addition, a display area for the foreign trade industry chain has been established, which focuses on promoting overseas market expansion exhibitions for foreign trade enterprises, providing comprehensive foreign trade service platforms, cross-border e-commerce platforms, and other services to support enterprises in expanding their markets overseas.
Furthermore, as the first Yandangshan Digital Economy Summit held this year, it will rely on the China Electrical Culture Festival to invite a group of experts to give keynote speeches, operate a number of service platforms, sign a number of cooperation projects, create a number of landmark achievements, focus on the main theme of digital economy development, highlight the empowerment of digital technology for industrial transformation, and gather resources for digital economy development.
